Things WE Recommend...

Here are some random activities and interesting tips about things we recommend doing just because we love to and we hope you will love them too!

If there are any activities you love, let us know about them and we will add them. It´s easy, just email: ibiza.enquiries@mydestination.com and share your Ibiza experiences with us.

When the wind is blowing BUT the sun is shining and you´re feeling active, grab your swimwear and head to the beach. The waves here really can get quite big but they´re still safe enough to do some great body surfing in. Aguas Blancas & Cala San Vicente are usually good choices for this. If you have a boogie board, grab that too!

If you´re a meat lover and like to keep it simple, dinner at Balafia needs to be on your list. They don´t advertise, reservations are essential, you can´t reserve online, you have to reserve at least a week in advance and there is no physical menu. It´s either meat meat or more meat with the most delicious tomato, onion & lettuce salad all served with the best chips ever and the most potent alioli on the island! Highly recommended.

Spanish omelettes are made all over the world, but none as juicy and delicious as the ones made at Bar Cosmi in Sant Inés. A truly authentic experience sitting on the terrace overlooking the church and eating tortilla made with tomatoes, peppers, onions and other secret ingredients. Another great place for tortilla is the Bon Lloc bar in the town of Jesús - try the one with peas in it.

If you have access to a vehicle while you´re here, a long, scenic drive to admire some of the more stunning views is a must. Pack a picnic and some drinks and set off to those beautiful lookout points. A few to include are the helicopter pad in San Miguel, Punta Grossa in Cala San Vicente, Puertas del Cielo in Santa Inés, the Torre des Savinar overlooking Atlantis & Es Vedra...

Cañas, Tapas & Chupitos de Hierbas are a must. Bar Cosmi right in the heart of Santa Eulalia is a fantastic place for this but be careful, time flies once you sit down and before you know it, you´ve been there all day! Fab place to meet people too.

Cheap and cheerful drinks in the evening are essential wherever you are. A great spot for this is Madagascar on the Plaza del Parque square in Ibiza town. Always buzzing with a wild atmosphere, happy people and lots to look at. Covered terrace with heaters for winter too, so it´s the perfect hangout all year round.

Long, relaxing walks taking in the beautiful scenery, through the campo or along the coast are always beautiful. Low season is ideal for this - the beaches are deserted and the countryside is looking lush. A top pick for this, if you happen to be here in the spring, is walking through the fields of trees in full bloom - the white and pink blossoms are stunning.

Bar Costa in Santa Gertrudis makes the most tasty bocadillos ever! How hard can it be to make a simple sandwich you say? It´s not really, but the warm & friendly vibe, the great service and the simplicity of the food, make it all a lovely experience. It´s especially cosy here in the winter with the huge fire roaring.
