Set at the heart of the Placa de Vila, the restaurant Dalt Vila is amongst some highly acclaimed and prestigious company. Indeed, when it comes to dining out in Ibiza Town, in many people’s book this is the area to head for with the superb quality of food and lively atmosphere providing the backbone for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. This most certainly is the case with Dalt Vila.
There is a choice of eating alfresco on the large cobbled terrace or alternatively upstairs in the rustic looking and air-conditioned dining room. No matter where you are seated, the service is consistently impeccable with a number of charming waiters being at your every beck and call. However forget this, the great location and the fun ambience that is reflected throughout Dalt Vila, it’s the cuisine that really makes the restaurant that little bit special and hence draws in the numbers. A varied range of Mediterranean dishes line the menu, making the selection somewhat an art in itself. The hot chicken and papaya salad as a starter is brilliant, as is the rich goat’s cheese and summer fruits coulis. For the main try one of the mouth-watering fish or meat creations, with the sirloin steak accompanied by a rich ‘Parisian’ sauce being a firm favourite of ours. However such is the quality of the kitchen, anything you decide upon will not disappoint.
The restaurant Dalt Vila comes highly recommended and most certainly ticks all the right boxes. The cuisine, service, ambience and setting are all great and the prices are a reasonable reflection of this. Make sure that you reserve a table in advance, especially on the weekends as the venue attracts a vast number of tourists and locals alike.
