In actual fact, the title means very little to the people who come to Bay Bar, but is in effect an endorsement from this Super-club of what a trendy place it is. It is the sort of bar that caters for all of the customers’ possible desires; good food and drink, great setting, and entertainment through the day and night.
Benefitting from its situation on the strip of the Paseo Marítimo that connects The Bay to San Antonio, Bay Bar attracts a steady stream of clients during sunlight hours. The vast terrace, complete with well-established trees and large awnings, provides shelter from the heat of the sun, whilst others may prefer to bake on the beach and take advantage of the drinks service. Either way, when enjoying freshly-made cocktails and music from resident DJs Tyron Dixon and Dannio, there aren’t many places you would rather be. The restaurant here serves food from opening until late. It is a simple menu and simple food, mainly of Italian influence, but the quality is high and the prices very fair. Many of the dishes are ideal for sharing such as the deliciously fresh Bruschetta and the spicy nachos.
Bay Bar boasts a sunset view of sorts; although most of the summer the sun goes down over the skyline of San Antonio, it does create at atmospheric outlook of the harbour and town at dusk. However, it is not until later at night that this place really hots up. It is certainly a strange combination of entertainments (muted cartoons on the big screen alongside podium dancers and fire shows) but it seems to work, and draws in a diverse crowd, from families to young clubbers.
