Description

Discover Ibiza’s bohemian spirit on a beach embraced by pine-covered hills, where turquoise water, handmade creations and unforgettable sunsets come together in a warm, free-spirited atmosphere. Begin by enjoying the bay and its crystal-clear water. Swim among anchored sailboats and traditional fishermen’s huts, or simply settle by the shore and take in the scenery. At the entrance to the bay rises a striking rock formation nearly 30 metres tall, known as the Finger of God. As daylight begins to fade, its silhouette becomes one of the island’s most distinctive sunset views. Take time to wander through the bohemian market. Browse colourful stalls filled with clothing, jewellery, bags, decorative objects and handcrafted pieces. Meet the vendors and experience the cosmopolitan spirit that has drawn artists, travellers and alternative communities to Ibiza for generations. Then relax beside the Mediterranean with a mojito, available with or without alcohol. Slow down and watch the beach become bathed in golden, orange and pink light. This bay has a deep connection with Ibiza’s alternative history. Free-spirited communities were already gathering here during the 1960s to share music, nature and moments of togetherness. Its modern drumming tradition was shaped in part by the Day of the Drums on 18 August 1991, when hundreds gathered in a peaceful protest against the Gulf War. Today, the percussionists still arrive independently and play entirely of their own accord. Nothing is scheduled or staged. When musicians choose to gather, the first beats emerge spontaneously and blend with the sound of the waves. The rhythm builds as visitors clap, dance or simply watch the sun sink towards the horizon. Their presence varies, but the sense of freedom and the beauty of the sunset remain at the heart of the experience. Watch the final light disappear behind the Finger of God and enjoy a moment suspended between sea, music, craftsmanship and hippie heritage. This is a chance to encounter Ibiza’s alternative side, far from the clubs and guided instead by nature, connection and freedom.
