Description
Leave the beaches behind for a day and discover a more authentic side of Ibiza through its flavours, craftsmanship and natural heritage. Limited to a shared group of no more than 8 participants, this welcoming experience takes you to several producers and places dedicated to the island’s treasures. Begin in a traditional inland village with a ham tasting. Depending on the day, enjoy Pata Negra with olive oil toast or a tapa of Serrano ham. A beer or non-alcoholic drink is also included. Continue to the tasting room of a local winery and explore Ibiza’s winemaking history. Learn about the terroir, indigenous grape varieties and a sustainable production philosophy, then taste 4 wines made with grapes grown on the island. Olives and almonds accompany the tasting. Non-alcoholic drinks are available for minors and guests who do not drink alcohol. Next, visit a shop dedicated to Ibiza’s famous sea salt. Discover fleur de sel collected by hand from the island’s salt pans and a tradition dating back more than 2,700 years. Browse products inspired by Ibiza and enjoy some free time to make optional purchases. Explore an interactive botanical garden presenting the flora and natural habitats of Ibiza and Formentera. Walk among thousands of plants and discover the connections between botany, environmental conservation and biotechnology in an engaging way. Finish at an organic plantation and the only aloe vera museum in the Balearic Islands. A specialist introduces the history, cultivation and uses of this remarkable plant. Watch a leaf-cutting and gel-extraction demonstration, taste several aloe vera products, then explore the museum and shop. Transport between stops, admission fees and all the tastings described are included. Optional pickup and drop-off are available from accommodations throughout Ibiza. The order of the itinerary may be adjusted according to availability without changing the main experiences. Personal purchases and any additional meal are at your own expense. This activity includes ham, bread, almonds and olives. Dietary substitutions are not available.Includes
