It’s a winning formula of food, drink, music and setting that ensures that the venue is always humming with activity and excitement. As if that wasn’t enough, Kanya has also secured some of the biggest pre-club parties for the summer; a line-up that includes Judge Jules’ warm-up to his very own Judgement Sundays.

Kanya prides itself on offering the cheapest food on the sunset strip and has very reasonably-priced lunch and dinner menus. Perfect for those working on a tight budget, a plentiful portion costs well under 10€ per head, leaving a little extra for trips to the cocktail bar! It’s certainly a bar in which most people tend to linger on to enjoy the luxury of the terrace pool and the energetic atmosphere. There always seems to be something going on at Kanya; whether it be international sport on the TV or an afternoon of house tunes to set the mood for a night on the town.

Whilst the daytimes are fun, this venue, like most on the sunset strip, comes alive at dusk. It boasts that signature view of sundown that is synonymous with this part of Ibiza and supplies the ideal accompaniment of music and dining. Although the set-price menu offers fantastic value for money, I would recommend straying from it to try the fillet steak which far-exceeds expectations of bar grub.

Hang around after dinner, as once all the light has vanished from the evening sky, the impressive line-up of pre-party DJs takes centre stage, filling the terrace of Kanya with revellers. Highlights of the week include a live set from Duke; a trio of guitar, singer and beatboxer, who get the entire crowd on the dancefloor with their unique medleys of new and old-school anthems. They provide the entertainment for the pre-parties of Tiesto, Clubland and Garlands on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. Pre-parties for Cream on Thursdays and Miss Moneypenny’s on Fridays complete the week, with House Beats provided by the guest DJs and spectacular fire shows on the terrace.
