Like most of the best clubs on the island, Amnesia was born in an old Ibiza style finca, or farmhouse. Although it has changed greatly over the years, the true rustic Ibiza architecture still remains. The once open air terrace has now been covered but is still home to some big names in the world of music and a lot of very mad parties!
The name of the club came from the idea that the place was a workshop of forgetfulness for all the eccentrics, hippies and party lovers in the ´70´s and was then decided that the one word from Greek etymology was enough to explain it all.
The Monday night 'Cocoon' party at Amnesia is legendary amongst party people around the world with hard house music all night long. Wednesday nights are home to the islands best foam party where the crowd goes crazy on the dance floor in the foam but remember the early mornings leaving the club soaking wet are not quite as much fun!
The spectacular laser show on the dance floor was a fabulous addition in 2009 and continues to liven up the club and make photographs very cool.
